WILLIAMSTOWN -- The centerpiece of the Bay State Winter Games figure skating competition, the Bay State Skate Figure Skating Show, took place Saturday evening at the Lansing Chapman Rink at Williams College.

The Bay State Skate featured New England Regional and District 1 medalists, as well as Winter Games medal winners. The featured skater of the show was recent U.S. Figure Skating Championships silver medalist Ross Miner.

On Friday, five Berkshire County figure skaters collected medals during U.S. Figure Skating Association competition at the 28th annual Bay State Games.

Lauren Lampiasi, of Clarksburg, claimed the gold medal in the USFS Senior Ladies short program event.

Earlier that afternoon, Julie Boulais, of Pittsfield, earned the silver medal in Pre Juvenile Girls Test Track Group C. Aimee Boulais, of Pittsfield, claimed the bronze medal in the Pre Juvenile Girls Test Track Group A event.

Two other Berkshire County skaters, Ashton Goyette, of Adams, and Stacey Tutela, of Dalton, earned silver and bronze medals during morning skating competition.
