NORTH ADAMS -- The Northern Berkshire community will again gather together to discuss important issues facing its residents.
Northern Berkshire Community Coalition's monthly forum will focus on the challenges faced by the funding of our current regional transportation network. Forum participants can become part of the growing network that is working toward a more adequately funded rural transportation network as this is the year that the legislative bodies are taking up this issue.
The forum will be held on Friday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the First Baptist Church (use the Eagle Street entrance).
Organizers of the Friendship Center Food Pantry, at 43 Eagle St., ask friends who attend the nbCC forums to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the pantry. In addition, bring an item for the pet drive being sponsored by UNITY s Youth Leadership Program.
Funding for transportation will include all forms of transportation including our roads, bridges, trains, and busses, and rural regional transportation networks can get lost amidst all these competing interests.
With this transportation bill under consideration, the time is now to adequately fund rural transportation.

The forum will begin with a round of introductions followed by brief announcements of upcoming events or new projects.
Bring flyers about your events and announcements as there will be a table available for sharing them.
