NORTH ADAMS -- Marine 2nd Lt. Thomas Kirby, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Kirby of 465 Union St., is expected to finish pre-flight school at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla., in about two weeks. He is serving a four-year commitment with the Marine Corps. ADAMS -- Officers of the Adams Cooperative Bank, headed by Edward Arnold as president, were all re-elected at the annual meeting of directors last night. Other officers are vice president, Hilaire Blanchette Jr.; treasurer and clerk of the board, Robert Barschdorf; and assistant treasurer, Mrs. Arleigh Rancourt.

ADAMS -- Charlene Horbal of Adams, an independent beauty consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics Inc., returned recently from Dallas, Texas. She was among the more than 25,000 consultants who participated in a three-day business management seminar. Horbal joined May Kay in April 1983.
ADAMS -- Navy Seaman Douglas Main, son of John and Jeanne Main of 58 Maple St., graduated from Basic Cryptologic Technician "0" School. During the self-paced courses at Naval Technical Training Center at Corry Station in Pensacola, Fla., he was trained as a special intelligence communication center operator.

NORTH ADAMS -- Bosley captured the B Division North Adams Men's Softball championship. Members of the team are Ron Odell, Bo Valois, Jim Malloy, Joe Cantoni, Rick Valois, Dick Desanty, Leo Benoit, Chad Bolte, Rob Lefebvre and Jay Ryan.
WILLIAMSTOWN -- Rick Pohle, the head pro at Taconic Golf Club, won the NENYPHGA Section Callaway Senior Professional Championship with a two-day total of 144. He finished one stroke ahead of Cobleskill Country Club's John Gen tile and Wyantenuck Coun try Club's Tom Sullivan. Pohle earned a spot in the Callaway PGA Senior Club Professional Championship Oct. 23-26 in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
