ADAMS -- Bradford Richer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aldor Richer of 10 Lincoln St., has returned from Great Lakes, Ill., where he completed a two-week tour of Naval Reserve training duty as a member of Unit 1-14 Service Division of Pittsfield. A senior at Adams Memorial High School, he enlisted in the Pittsfield unit last May. ADAMS -- A new enterprise has been taken on by 38-year-old U.S. Navy veteran Clarence Hannaleck of 95 Friend St., who has purchased a newly-created franchise of the Arnold Bread Co. of Port Chester, N.Y. He is already operating his route, after having purchased new delivery truck to provide service to Adams, Cheshire, North Adams and Williamstown.

NORTH ADAMS -- Andrew Burdick, son of Lawrence and Theresa Burdick of 99 Cliff St., has been promoted to lance corporal with the U.S. Marine Corp. He enlisted in June of 1987 and received basic training at Parris Island, S.C. Assigned recently to a six month tour, Burdick will have charge of the armory aboard the U.S.S. New Orleans.
WILLIAMSTOWN -- Frances Lapidus has been appointed assistant director of admissions at Williams College. She will be responsible for interviewing prospective students, representing Williams at college fairs around the country serving as liaison to schools and alumni, and will be responsible for transfer students. Before her appointment as assistant director of admissions, Lapidus was an admissions counselor at Williams.

WILLIAMSTOWN -- A two-day member-guest tournament was held recently at Waubeeka Golf Links. Gross winners were Chris Baran and Dennis Tassone with 141, followed by Fran Esposito and Jim Peace with 144 and Jim Crews and Bob Buhner with 146. Net winners were Tom Siciliano and Al Field with 122, followed by Walt Howard and Dave New with 123.
NORTH ADAMS -- Joan LaRocca and Deborah Sprague, both teachers in the North Adams Public Schools, completed year one of a two-year Prospect Technology Fellowship. LaRocca is a fifth-grade teacher at Brayton Elementary School. Sprague is a language arts teacher at Sullivan Elementary School.
