Rebecca McConnell emailed us to say she believed the boy with the buzzed haircut in the white shirt (bottom right with his hand on his chin and knee) was her brother, Jimmy Boland. ‘He used to sit like that and had the very same haircut!' She added she thought the girl in the front row with straight, dark black hair and bangs (knees up and ankles crossed with a slight smile) was Stephanie Sebastino. Maggy Button, the Transcript's city editor, said the woman reading the book is her aunt, the late Marion Duprey, who lived at Holy Family Terrace in North Adams. Holy Family tenants read to kindergarten students at Greylock Elementary School on a regular basis. Thanks also to Doris Alibozek for calling, The photo originally ran June 5, 1996.
