The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court Thursday:
Matthew Main, 23, of West Main Street in Adams, was arraigned on a charge of the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Richard Ketchum, Sr., 21, of Bliss Street in North Adams, had a charge of assault and battery dismissed upon the request of the victim.
Thomas Meczywor, 23, of Cedar Lane in Adams, admitted to sufficient facts and was found guilty of failing to stop for police and reckless operation of a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to two years of probation, ordered to pay $750 in fines, and is not allowed to drive a motor vehicle for six months. Meczywor was also found responsible on a charge of speeding and ordered to pay a $100 fine.
Shaina Chappell, 25, of State Street in North Adams, was arraigned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
Kyle Pereira, 22, of Newton Avenue in Pittsfield, was arraigned on charges of an uninsured vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, and not having an inspection sticker.
Glenroy Heath, 23, of Willow Dell Street in North Adams, had a charge of aggravated assault and battery dismissed for a failure to prosecute because a witness failed to appear.
Chad Roy, 32, of Beaver Street in North Adams admitted to sufficient facts and was found guilty of operating under the influence (OUI) of liquor. Roy was sentenced to two years of probation, will have his license suspended 45 days, and pay $1,167.22 in fees.
