ADAMS -- Patricia Murphy, Paula Hakes, Carolyn Dabrowski, Linda Isabelle, Judith Major, Darlene Hagan and Nancy Herrmann are the junior varsity cheerleaders for 1963-1964 at Adams Memorial High School. The seven were chosen from a field of 44 junior candidates. The alternate chosen was Sandra Mahar. Judges were Mary Malley, Wilfrid DeBlois, Arnold Bartini, Lucille Dolgin and Ella Getty. WILLIAMSTOWN -- A total of 11 scouts of Williamstown Troop 70 attended the Berkshire County Council Camporee at Lenox last weekend. The troop received an "A" rating in trail clearing and a "B" rating in overall camping. The scouts were Charles and Arthur Norton, Ralph Hannus, John Rider Jr., Donald Skidmore Jr., Randolph Devey, Stephen Walsh, Joseph Kocsis, Joseph Walker, Christopher Snow and Michael Geroulo Jr.

NORTH ADAMS -- Drury quarterback Mike Felix, whose two touchdown runs and a touchdown pass helped Drury beat Brattleboro 36-8 Saturday, has been named the team’s offensive players of the week. Defensive back Steve Green took the defensive player of the week honors for two interceptions. Middle linebacker Bill Bryce was also cited on defense for making 12 unassisted tackles and assisting on eight others.
WILLIAMSTOWN -- Rob Nugent took in the defensive player of the week honors on the Mt. Greylock football team’s weekly Honor Roll for their 50-16 win over Putnam. Nugent was top tackler, had an interception, blocked a pass and had a tackle on a kickoff. Darren Bouley was the Mountie’s leading scorer with a paid of touchdowns and a two-point conversion. Josh Shaw also scored two touchdowns.

WILLIAMSTOWN -- At the annual Junior Classical League’s national convention, Mount Greylock Regional School’s chapter brought home several awards. Attending the convention at Trinity College in San Antonio, Texas, were Alex Kopynec, a senior; Mollie Berman, a sophomore; and Marjorie Keely, adviser.
WILLIAMSTOWN -- Pine Cobble School has announced the addition of four teachers. The new Upper School French teacher is Julie Minter. Kathleen Judge Igoe joins as the new Upper School English teacher and assistant with admissions. Jessica Storey is the new Spanish instructor and Peter Pierson joins as the new Upper School humanities instructor.
