ADAMS -- The sale of the Hoosac Street Parent-Teacher Group Thursday night and Friday was well patronized and generally successful, it was reported today. Special prizes were awarded to Richard Howland, Cheshire; Mrs. Mildred Ferlet, Adams; Mrs. Grace Bersaw, North Adams; Miss Melanie Smith, Mrs. Jane McTavish, Mrs. Louis George and Mrs. Dorothy Biros, all of Adams. CLARKSBURG -- By a score of 6-0, the Pee Wees of the Clarksburg-Stamford footall team defeated North Adams yesterday. Edward McDonald made the touchdown. The local Juiors lost their game, 58-8, with the single touchdown being made by Frank Hewitt.

NORTH ADAMS -- Three Touchdown passes from Dave Daloia to Eric Puccio helped the Drury junior varsity football team to a 24-6 win over the McCann JVs.
The first was a 50-yarder, folowed by a 20-yarder and a 40-yard scoring play. The final Drury TD was on a 60-yard run by Dave Brooks. McCann also took to the air for its points, going in on a 25-yard scoring pass play from Chris MacDonald to Don Vitali.
WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Williamstown Lions Club officers for 1988-89 are Steve Betti, president; Les Dumoulin, 1st vice president, Thomas Masslli, 2nd vice president; Bruce Navom, 3rd vice president; Thomas Swift, recording secretary; James Betti, financial secretary; Leo Laliberte, treasurer; Brien Locke, publicity; M. STAMFORD, Vt. -- A team of Stamford Elementary School students took first place in the district competition of the Windham Southwest Supervisory Union spelling bee against Readsboro, Whitingham and Halifax schools in Vermont. Team members were Krista Slade, 11, Tegan O'Neill, 10, Bryce Horsfall, 11, Ben Bethoney, 12, Katelyn Cristofolini, 11 and Kali Kennedy, 11.
NORTH ADAMS -- Marine Lance Cpl. Adam J. Tustin, son of Leslie A. Tustin of North Adams and Jonathan c. Tustin of Sweet Briar, Va., recently was promoted to his current rank of while serving with Detachment 13, Air Force News, Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni, Japan.
