It is not surprising in these tough economic times that Northern Berkshire Healthcare is facing a huge deficit -- primarily because of North Adams Regional Hospital -- and is seeking a partner to help weather the storm (Transcript story, Tuesday, Nov. 17). On Tuesday morning, Nov. 17, Arthur Desaulnier, president of Eastpoint Properties, announced an agreement with Time Warner Cable. The residents of the 48 apartments at Village East on Union Street in North Adams will finally receive discounted cable service and achieve equality with their Berkshire Housing counterparts.   Full Story
 
 
Once again, they're partying like its 1928 on Wall Street. Indeed, three of the banks that took government handouts last year -- Goldman, Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase -- had the temerity to announce they'll be handing out $30 billion in bonuses this year.
