The North Adams Firefighters Local #1781 wants to thank the community for their outpouring of support they showed us during our annual boot drive for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
The boot drive was held on Sept. 22 at the intersection in front of Walmart on Route 8. We were once again amazed with the overwhelming gratitude that we got from every person that donated, especially the young girl that opened her purse and dumped her entire allowance into the boot.
With that type of gratitude, we were able to raise a grand total of $3,353 for the MDA. Again, we want to thank all of you for your support.
We also want to thank Karen Boyer from the North Adams branch of NBT Bank for waiving all the fees to ensure that all the proceeds went to the MDA.
