I want to thank all those whose dedication and hard work put together a very successful fundraiser in my name on Aug. 25.

Scott Balawender and the American Legion hosted an awesome event beginning with a delicious spaghetti dinner, home baked goods and a Chinese auction.

This was followed by an evening of dancing compliments of the Walling Road Band.

To everybody who helped by setting up, cooking, serving, baking, donating and just joining in the fun, my heartfelt thanks. We certainly are blessed with a supportive and caring community in the North Berkshires.

Thank you, also, for your many prayers and words of encouragement. I only wish I could have been a part of your evening in person.
