I’ve been following Elizabeth Warren since she appeared regularly on Bill Moyers’ program on public television several years ago, explaining the American economy -- especially how it shortchanged, deluded, defrauded and even ignored average people like us.
I was elated when she worked under President Obama’s administration to make Wall Street activities, bank policies and credit card bills clear, and help us understand what we were really being charged. I was disappointed when she wasn’t chosen to lead the new agency to protect consumers.
We need her voice in Washington to protect us from the financial greed that has threatened our savings, our homes, our kids’ futures and the right of women to get paid the same as men for the same jobs, as well as from a Supreme Court that affects all of us but sometimes decides for the privileged and the powerful.
I strongly support Elizabeth and I’ll vote for her on Nov. 6.
