To the Editor:
Admitting a loved one to a long-term care nursing and rehabilitation center does not have to be a dreaded task. My family would like to thank the entire staff of Williamstown Commons for their assistance, compassion and professionalism in making the process an easy one.
Extra thanks goes to Judy Bombardier, director of admissions, for her guidance throughout the admission process. Her knowledge and expertise were extremely reassuring.
Within 48 hours, we were offered a care-planning meeting to discuss our family goals and personal concerns. The meeting consisted of a head nurse, social worker and head of physical therapy. It was both informative and comforting. The leadership, headed by Administrator Michelle Wuest, is clearly focused on quality care and family support. I must say that Williamstown Commons is the most compassionate facility in our area.
