PUTNEY -- Next Stage Arts Project presents Lucy Wainwright Roche with special guest Suzzy Roche, in concert on Wednesday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m., at Next Stage, 15 Kimball Hill.
Lucy Wainwright Roche has been compared to Joni Mitchell and Patty Griffin by NPR. She was born in New York City into an influential musical family. She rebelled against the family business by teaching elementary school for several years before getting involved in music.
Since 2007, she has released two EPs and a studio album titled "Lucy" (2010), toured the U.S., Canada and Europe, and has performed with a number of musicians including the Indigo Girls, Neko Case and Over the Rhine.
She is known for her crystal clear voice and straightforward, funny stage presence.
Suzzy Roche, Lucy’s mother, one of the original Roche sisters, will be appearing with Lucy at Next Stage.
Tickets are $20 general admission, $18 for students/seniors and $2 at the door, available at www.nextstagearts.org and at Offerings in Putney.
