Literacy Volunteers of_Berkshire County

Private, non-profit organization providing free, confidential and individualized tutoring in basic reading and English as a second language (ESL) to adults and out-of-school youths over age 16. LVBC tutoring is one-on-one instruction from a trained and qualified volunteer tutor. Adults can study at their own pace using materials of importance or of interest to them.
Located at the Berkshire Athenaeum in Pittsfield, LVBC conducts tutor training and maintains an office and lending library of materials. It serves central Berkshire County and neighboring towns.
