KEENE, N.H. -- The SteepleCats plated two in the first but never scored again in a 12-2 loss on the road to Keene.
It was only 6-2 when Keene scored six in the seventh to put the game out of reach. The hosts finished with 16 hits, 11 of them off starter Tyler Gebler.
The Swamp Bats tied the game with single runs in the first and second innings before taking the lead with three in the third. Jared Walsh had the key hit, a two-run homer. Another homer from Grant Kay in the seventh powered that big inning.
North Adams had seven hits but left eight on base. Charlie Law and Bryan Soloman each had two hits in the loss.
