The Hoosac Valley girls' basketball team hit 10 3-pointers against St. Joseph's on Dec. 28.
Drury boys' basketball
Look back: Senior Alex Bush will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL two weeks ago. ... Nolan Bird had 17 points and 14 rebounds in the team's first win of the season over Monument on Friday.
Look ahead: The Blue Devils will play Lee in the second round of the Gene Wein Tournament Saturday. ... Drury is then off until Jan. 3 when it travels to Taconic. ... The Blue Devils will meet Greylock for the second time this season on Jan. 5 in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.
Hoosac Valley boys' basketball
Look ahead: After having almost two weeks off, the Hurricanes get back to work against Amherst on Dec. 29. The Hurricanes then host the defending D-III Western Mass. champ St. Joe's on Jan. 3. They play Lenox in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic on Jan. 5.

Look ahead: The Jan. 3 contest against Smith Vocational will be the first in-division game for the Hornets. ... In the Coaches Vs. Cancer Classic on Jan. 5, the Hornets will be pinned against Mount Everett.
Mount Greylock boys' basketball
Look back: The Mounties lost their first and second games of the year on consecutive days at the Ashland Holiday Tournament. Tyrell Thomas had 14 points and Tyler Picard had 12 in the first-round loss on Dec. 27. The Mounties then dropped the consolation game of the tournament 70-63 on Dec. 28. Thomas' 17 points and three 3s led the way.
Look ahead: The Mounties host Lenox on Jan. 3 and then get another crack at Drury in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic on Jan. 5.
Drury girls' basketball
Look back: The Blue Devils saw the resurgence of their defense in their only game of the week, a 43-25 win over Division I Amherst on the road. They also showed they aren't a one-dimensional team, but one that has multiple scoring threats. Shannon Garvey led the way with 15 points, 13 in the second half.
Look ahead: Just one game for the Blue Devils this week. They host Wahconah on Jan. 4. This will be the Transcript's "Game of the Week." The staff will be on hand to cover and live-blog the game and conduct video interviews.
Hoosac Valley girls' basketball
Look back: Jen Gale and Emily Rosse each had 11 points on Dec. 22 as the Hurricanes beat Taconic and won their holiday tournament. ... Rosse and Maddie Ryan each had 11 points in a 63-15 win over St. Joseph's on Dec. 28.
Look ahead: Hoosac has another light week. It travels to Mount Everett on Jan. 3.
McCann girls' basketball
Look back: Mary Nguyen had a team-high six points in a loss to Granby on Dec. 28. Despite the loss, the Hornets are showing steady improvement as the season goes on.
Look ahead: McCann Tech gets a shot at redeeming a 47-19 loss at the hands of Mount Greylock when they travel to Williamstown on Jan. 2. ... The Hornets also make a trip to Belchertown on Jan. 4.
Mount Greylock girls' basketball
Look back: The Mounties made the most of the one game this past week with a 45-38 win over Mount Everett on Dec. 28. Lucy Barrett carried Greylock to the victory with a 20-point performance on just one 3-pointer. The win gives the Mounties their first South Division win.
Look ahead: The Mounties have just one game this week, as they host McCann Tech on Jan. 2.
St. Joseph's hockey
Look back: The Crusaders took second place in the Chicopee Winter Classic. ... Eric Leitch scored three goals in the two tournament games. ... Andrew Leitch made 40 saves in the two games.
Look ahead: The Crusaders will host St. Mary's in the first game of the new year on Jan. 2.

Look back: Ryan Ouimet had a hat trick in a 4-1 win over Amherst on Dec. 28. ... Nick Montferret assisted on all four of his team's goals.

Greylock Nordic
Look back: They may not have had a race this week, but both Hoosac Valley and Mount Greylock Nordic teams were the big winners. The big snow storm on Dec. 26 and 27 pretty much guaranteed they will have their first meet on Jan. 2.
Look ahead: With another reported storm entering the area Saturday, it looks like the Jan. 2 meet will take place at Prospect Mountain.
Hoosac swimming
Look ahead: Hoosac dives back in with meets against Mount Anthony (Jan. 2) and Pittsfield (Jan. 4) this week.
Wrestling
Look ahead: The Mounties head to yet another tournament next weekend at Franklin Tech.
