Snowy weather struck once again this week, postponing many events on Jan. 16.

Berkshire County girls’ basketball teams get their chance at raising money to fight cancer on Saturday at the Coaches vs. Cancer Showcase.

This week’s highlights: Six 3-pointers, including three by Nick Trombley lifted the Drury boys’ basketball team past St. Joseph’s. ... Eileen Zajac recorded a double-double for McCann Tech girls’ basketball on Jan. 15 to help extend a long winning streak.

Greylock Alpine

Look back: Warm weather postponed Monday’s race to Wednesday and then snowy weather pushed the race back again.

Look ahead: This week’s canceled race will be made up on Jan. 23.

Drury boys’ basketball

Look back: A 27-point fourth quarter lifted the Blue Devils to a second straight upset win. The Blue Devils topped Wahconah 48-38 behind Nolan Bird’s 18 points on Jan. 18. The Blue Devils also scored an upset of St. Joseph’s on Jan. 15, 48-44.

Look ahead: The Blue Devils can’t afford many more losses. They’ll challenge Lee and Hoosac this week. The Jan. 25 Hoosac game will be the Transcript’s "Game of the Week." Hoosac boys’ basketball

Look back: Trevor Alibozek’s 22 points weren’t enough to lift the Hurricanes past Taconic on Jan. 18 in a 65-60 overtime loss.

McCann boys’ basketball

Look back: A slow start doomed McCann on Jan. 18 as it lost to Dean Tech, 43-40. Kyle Parada had 11 points and 12 rebounds in a Jan. 15 victory over Pathfinder.

Look ahead: McCann will challenge PVCS on Jan. 22 and then hosts St. Mary’s on Jan. 25 for a pivotal league matchup.

Greylock boys’ basketball

Look back: Tyler Picard and Brett McCormack both chipped in 12 points to lead the Mounties past Wahconah on Jan. 15. Nathan Majumder had 15 and Hank Barrett tossed in 13 to lead Greylock past Monument on Jan. 18. Tyrell Thomas was unavailable for the Mounties in the Monument game, due to two technical fouls he received against the Warriors.

Look ahead: Greylock hosts Pittsfield on Jan. 23. St. Joseph’s then comes town on Jan. 25 for a big South Division showdown.

Drury girls basketball

Look back: The Blue Devils scored a pair of impressive wins this week. The first came at the expense of Hoosac Valley, 59-38. Shannon Garvey led the way in that contest, netting 16 points. Danielle Racette led the offense against Mount Greylock on Jan. 17. She scored 18 points in a 57-34 victory.

Look ahead: The Blue Devils will challenge Wahconah at the Coaches vs. Cancer Showcase on Saturday. It’s the only game of the week for the Blue Devils. They won’t get back on the court until Jan. 28.

Hoosac girls’ basketball

Look back: The Hurricanes gained a little bit of confidence back by rebounding from a tough loss to Drury with a good win over Taconic, 68-41. Jen Gale and Emily Rosse both found their scoring touch against the Braves. Gale scored 19 points and Rosse added 15.

Look ahead: The Hurricanes are hoping the flood gates have been opened for the offense. They take on Lenox in the Coaches Vs. Cancer Showcase. They then challenge Monument Mountain on Jan. 22 and Wahconah on Jan. 24.

McCann girls’ basketball

Look back: The Hornets improved to 4-1 in the league and .500 overall with two big victories this week. Eileen Zajac recorded a double-double on Jan. 15 to help push the Hornets past Sci-Tech, 43-38. Mary Nguyen scored 20 points against Southwick, giving her team a 38-31 win.

Look ahead: The Hornets put their four-game winning streak on the line in the Coaches vs. Cancer Showcase Saturday at 10:30 a.m. They’ll challenge Mount Everett. The two teams won’t have to wait long for a rematch, they play again on Jan. 22. McCann also challenges Monson on Jan. 24.

Greylock girls’ basketball

Look back: Lucy Barrett scored 13 points, but it wasn’t enough to push Greylock past Drury on Jan. 17. The Blue Devils topped Greylock 57-34.

Look ahead: The Mounties play St. Joseph’s in the Coaches vs. Cancer Showcase and will attempt to avenge an early-season 50-33 loss. Greylock then challenges Wahconah on Jan. 22 and Lee on Jan. 24.

St. Joseph’s hockey

Look back: The Crusaders suffered a narrow, 3-2 loss to Wahconah on Jan. 12. It ended up being the only game of the week for St. Joseph’s. Andrew Leitch recorded 38 saves in the loss to Wahconah.

Look ahead: The Crusaders will challenge Belchertown and West Springfield this week. Belchertown comes to town on Jan. 23 and the Crusaders head to West Springfield on Jan. 26.

Wahconah hockey

Look back: Lane Grogan’s late second-period goal ended up being enough for the Warriors to grab a 3-2 win over St. Joseph’s on Jan. 12. The Jan. 16 game against Mount Everett was postponed.

Look ahead: The Warriors host Minnechaug on Jan. 19. On Jan. 21 the Warriors travel to Ludlow and then play Taconic on Jan. 23.

Hoosac boys’ swimming

Look back: The Hurricanes lost their only meet of the week, 84-56 to Taconic Hills. Mike DiSanti won a pair of events in the contest.

Look ahead: The regular season has come to an end. The Hurricanes will send several swimmers to the Western Massachusetts meet on Feb. 9.

Hoosac girls’ swimming

Look back: The Hurricanes were topped by Taconic Hills, 89-81 on Jan. 15. Maria Mazzu broke seven minutes in the 500 free, setting a personal record.

Look ahead: The regular season has come to an end. The Hurricanes will send several swimmers to the Western Massachusetts meet on Feb. 9.

Hoosac boys’ Nordic

Look back: The Hoosac boys’ took seventh overall at the Jan. 12th meet. Justin Barnes was the first Hurricane to cross the line. He finished 16th overall. Dan Butler followed close behind and took 18th.

Look ahead: It’s back to Prospect once more for the Nordic teams on Jan. 19.

Hoosac girls’ Nordic

Look back: The girls’ also took seventh place at the Jan. 12 meet at Prospect. Danielle Beauchemin recorded her best finish of the year, coming in 10th place with a time of 26 minutes, 42 seconds.

Look ahead: Beauchemin will try to improve her time in another classical meet at Prospect.

Greylock boys’ Nordic

Look back: The Mounties continue to shine on the course this year. They took first place overall for the third time in three races. The top five finishers were all in a Greylock uniform. Alex White took first place followed by Sean Houston, Will Kirby, Jonah Majumder and Jake Foehl. Matt Wiseman also snuck in a top-10 finish, by taking seventh overall.

Look ahead: The Mounties were scheduled to host a meet on Jan. 19, but instead will head back to Prospect.

Greylock girls’ Nordic

Look back: Another race, another Mountie victory. Kat Chenail took second place, leading a wave of Mounties. The next five spots all belonged to Greylock skiers. Sophia Dastoli took third followed by Alexa Adams, Stephanie Adamczyk and Grace Smith.

Look ahead: Instead of hosting a race, the Mounties head to Prospect again this weekend.

Greylock wrestling

Look back: The Jan. 16 meet against Mount Everett was snowed out.

Look ahead: The Mounties head to the Essex Classic this weekend. They will host Taconic on Jan. 24 and then host the Mountie Invite starting on Jan. 25.
