NORTHAMPTON -- The Williams women's basketball team outscored Smith College in the second half, but it wasn't enough Monday night.
Smith's 11-point half-time lead held up in a 53-49 vicotry.
Rosa Drummond scored a game-high 21 points for Smith in the victory. Paulina Solis added 13 points.
The Ephs were led by Caire Baecher who scored 14 points. Ellen Cook scored 12 points and Danny Rainer added 10 for the Ephs. Only six players factored into the scoring for Williams.
Baecher, Rainer and Kellie Macdonald each had eight rebounds for Williams.
Off the bench scoring was non existent for Williams. Oge Uwanaka was the only reserve to factor into the scoring.
