PITTSFIELD -- North Adams Post 125 strung together eight straight hits in the fifth inning for to put six runs on the board and put the contest out of reach over Tyler Aces, 12-7 on Thursday.
"It’s like we’ve said all year, you’re not going to get runs by getting one hit an inning," Post 125 coach Bob Rumbolt said. "When we string eight hits in a row in one inning, you’re going to get great results."
Riki Brown took charge out of the leadoff spot for North Adams. He went 3 for 5 with a triple and scored three times. Robert Jutras was 4 for 5 with an RBI and Alex Bush contributed two RBI, as well.
Max Quinn took to the mound for Post 125. It was his first official start in over a year. He took to the mound last week, but the game was called due to rain after one inning.
Quinn went four innings and struck out two in his outing.
"For his first time out there in over a year, you have to give him the nod," Rumbolt said. "He found his rhythm. We were very happy with him."
